Sports Betting Bonus Calculator
Calculate your real bonus value before you deposit. I use this tool myself to figure out whether a sportsbook welcome offer is genuinely worth taking, or whether the wagering requirements make it more trouble than it is worth.
Enter your planned deposit, the bonus percentage offered, and the wagering requirement multiplier. The calculator will show you the total amount you need to wager before you can withdraw bonus funds, and the effective value of the bonus after accounting for the house edge.
How to Read These Numbers
The "Total Wagering Required" is the total amount you must bet before bonus funds become withdrawable. At a 35x wagering requirement on a $100 bonus, you need to place $3,500 worth of bets. The "Expected Loss from Wagering" estimates how much you will statistically lose while meeting that requirement, based on the house edge of the games you play.
The "Effective Bonus Value" is the real-world value of the bonus after accounting for the expected cost of wagering. If this number is negative, the bonus costs more to clear than it is worth. In Ontario, many AGCO-licensed sportsbooks have moved away from traditional deposit bonuses due to AGCO advertising standards, so always check the latest terms directly on the platform.
A Note on Ontario Bonus Restrictions
Ontario's AGCO advertising standards restrict certain promotional language and bonus inducements. This calculator is an educational tool to help you understand wagering mechanics, not a recommendation to chase bonuses. I always advise setting a deposit limit and treating any bonus as a secondary consideration to odds quality, payout speed, and platform reliability.
